Good ones

  • The longer and more complex the answer, the worse it is.
  • Are you doing this to remove a negative from your life?
  • Do they mean the opposite of what they are saying?
  • Enjoy painting, not the idea of having painted
  • Would I work as a bartender at night to do this job?
  • Would I want this person to be at my wedding? (my funeral?)
  • How close is this person to their personal legend?
  • Count your time in dog years (multiply it by 7) – to really value it.
  • Real food. Not too much. Mostly plants.
  • Healthy, family, friends, rent + oranges + beans, hobbies – that’s it
  • Would they bet on it?
  • Everyone is always talking about themself?
  • The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing.
  • If they say they will do it, they are less likely to actually do it.

Just OK

  • Why are you doing this?
  • The older something is, the better it is.
  • How will you be doing this one year from now?
  • Does this person dress like “themself” or for someone else?
  • What does this person’s hands say about them?
  • What does this person’s car say about them?
  • All verbal threats are signs of weakness
  • People can only process one idea at a time
  • Do you want to be a life-long student AND practitioner at this?

Works in Progress

  • Hands on experience >> I heard from xyz >>>> they think they have experience because they heard from xyz
  • If you aren’t being mysterious, you are talking too much. Let them lean forward.
  • Did you nod your head, breathe and then respond?
  • To see if someone knows just ask them how over and over.
  • Wait 24 hours if you are emotional about something before responding.
